2010

·         The centre will re-opened, following its Winter closure, at 10am on March 4th.

·         The Centre, supported by a grant of £42,000 by the Heritage Lottery Fund, has produced a photographic and verbal record of interesting buildings and sites in Calne, both past and present, available on portable touch screen system.
The presentation also includes a history of C&T Harris, with interactive features, video clips and text. We know that clubs and societies are always looking for speakers or events for their meetings so if you feel that your members would be interested in our project, we would be happy to bring the computer touch screen to your meeting, supported by a visual display on exhibition boards. Please contact Sue Boddington to arrange a visit, either by phone or email at sue.boddington@virgin.net

·         Calne at Worship.

Following our successful ‘Calne at School’ in 2009, we intend to mount an exhibition for 2010 called ‘Calne at Worship’. We are hoping that you will contribute to the exhibition, either in writing or in the form of art work, give a short history of your place of worship. Or you can lend us photos or memorabilia and tell the story that goes along with them. Whether Jewish or Whicker, CE or Baptist tell us about your people and place of worship.

Please drop in, with your photos and stories, or contact Sue Boddington on 01380 828851 or at  sue.boddington@virgin.net. We look forward to hearing from you.
